Ellen Sugarman is a detail oriented IT analyst with over 20 years of experience on projects large and small. She has worked in both healthcare, at Mass General Brigham, and in financial services, at State Street Corporation and BankBoston. Her involvement with libraries dates back to her first job – as a library page during high school.
Ellen has lived in Belmont since 2010, has been a Town Meeting Member since 2015, and a member of the Belmont Library Foundation Board since 2017. She has a BA in Geology from the University of Rochester, a Diploma in Computer Technology from New York University, and an MBA from the Simmons School of Management. Ellen enjoys walking, bicycling, kayaking, traveling, and attending Red Sox games with her husband, Paul Rickter.
